Chicago, originally known as the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), is an American rock band formed in Chicago, Illinois in 1967. The band's unique blend of jazz, rock, and pop music quickly gained popularity, and they soon became one of the most successful rock bands of the 1970s and 1980s.
Commercial Success and Acclaim
Chicago has released 38 studio albums, selling over 100 million records worldwide. They have had numerous hit singles, including "If You Leave Me Now," "You're the Inspiration," and "Hard to Say I'm Sorry." The band has also won multiple Grammy Awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020.
